Pleasant stay
 
Stayed as we attended a wedding. The hotel is a little shabby now due to age but despite this we had a pleasant stay thanks to the excellent service. The only drawback is the car park is a bit far away and we had to bring our suitcases up the same place as cars drive down. At least it wasn't raining.

Great break with family
 
We have a lovely weekend away at Castletroy, our 4hr old adored the pool and didn't want to leave. The fridge wasn't working in our room and the staff went out of their way to replace it - which we ... needed as we have a young baby. We had 1 breakfast and dinner in the pub. The food was great but it was quite busy and quite difficult getting attention from the servers. Sunday morning the restaurant was open and it was much more relaxed and the waitresses were much more attentive. We were looking to book for this weekend again but website says the hotel is full for this Saturday night! ---

Carlton Castletroy Park Hotel
 
I visited the Carlton Castletroy Park Hotel for an event that was being hosted on 23rd March 2010, and I must say that I cant fault the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel ... itself was nice, the room was spotlessly clean and well furnished with comfortable furnishings. And for me, as someone that suffers from back pain, the bed was wonderful. My only issue is the car park. In fact, I think the car park is a disgrace. I used the underground car park during my stay. However, there are no signs directing users to the pedestrian exits. I had left something important in my car and when I went to go back and collect it, the pedestrian exit was locked. This was at just 7pm. My only way of getting into the car park would have been via the ramp used by cars and this is not only dangerous, but given the inclement weather that evening, completely unacceptable. At the very least, signs should be put up directing people to the exits. ---

Firstly, may I thank you most sincerely for taking the time and effort to complete a review regarding your stay, as it is only through guest feedback such as yours that we can attempt to maintain and improve the standards, which we set. Please accept my sincere apologies to you regarding the car parking and the lack of signage. I can assure you, that the necessary action has been taken to prevent a similar reoccurrence and we are currently looking at increasing the signage for to and from the car park for our hotel guests. I do hope that this matter did not spoil your entire stay and that it will not deter you from visiting us again in the future. Indeed if you are planning another trip to this area, I would be most grateful if you would contact me, as I would welcome the opportunity to try and make some amends, and to ensure that your next stay with is would be a most enjoyable one. 7th Heaven Weekend
 
We found the Carlton Castletroy to be a lovely hotel with ample facilities and the friendliest of staff. They live up to their 4 stars with excellent accommodation and top quality food. The staff were ... happy to help us out with any special food requirements and any queries we had regarding Limerick city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would heartily recommend the hotel to anyone. ---

Overall Good Stay
 
I spent three days at the Carlton Castleroy and would definitely go back, especially if I had more business at the University of Limerick. Beyond that the hotel is lovely. It has a beautiful atrium for ... tea or lunch. My room was fine, ample storage area, comfortable bed, but quilt was slightly worm looking. It looks less than crisp. The front desk staff, reception were wonderful especially Lisa, who was so helpful in directing me, finding me a private car tour and so forth. The food was good, the waiters friendly, but less than attentive. The main restaurant was closed for redecorating so dinner and breakfast was served in the bar. It seemed easy to get lost from view of service staff, but again they were very nice. The best dish was the herb salmon- perfect. Thank you all for making my stay enjoyable. I actually spent the last night at the Carlton Dublin Airport. I would also stay there again and plan on trying some of the other hotels in the group. Thank you everyone. ---

I have stayed for business at the Castletroy Park Hotel for around 20 days in total. Each time I was delighted with the service, the room and the pool.

Disappointed
We were away for a birthday break in a hotel that advertised a great beauty salon. However- on arrival only to find out that it was closed for the extent of our stay at a weekend. Very disappointed and ... would not rate this hotel as a 4* hotel without this facility. We had also asked for bath robes to be placed in the room as it was optional when booking- they were not there and we were refused them when we asked on arrival. The food/ bar were good, but the damp patches in the room all led to a disappointed stay. ---

Firstly, may I take this opportunity to thank you most sincerely for taking the time and effort to complete the comment card, as often it is only through guest feedback such as yours that we can attempt to maintain and improve the standards which we set. Please accept my sincere apologies to you for the obvious disappointment in our service which you seem to have experienced with regard to the Csalon being unavailable & the bath robes not arriving to your room. We are currently carrying out maintenance work on some of the stills. I do hope this matter did not spoil your entire stay with us and that it will not deter you from visiting The Carlton Castletroy Park Hotel again in the near future.
